2 Men Charged With Diesel Fuel Theft, Credit Card Fraud: FHP
A traffic stop at a Fort Myers gas station led to arrest of 2 men suspected of diesel fuel theft, credit card fraud, FL Highway Patrol said.

FORT MYERS, FL — Two men suspected of diesel fuel theft and credit card fraud were arrested Sunday morning during a traffic stop at a Fort Myers gas station, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
Juan Alfredo Escalona Hidalgo, 33, of Bradenton and Raul Torralba, 42, of Lehigh Acres were driving a 2016 Freightliner Truck when they were pulled over at the Pilot gas station at 6054 Plaza Drive around 9:30 a.m.
Closer inspection, revealed the truck was stolen out of Miami and illegally equipped with unlawful welded fuel tanks, filled with stolen diesel fuel, FHP said.

Troopers also found a credit card skimmer, numerous stolen credit cards and a laptop.
Both Hidalgo and Torralba have been charged with fraud, resisting without violence, unlawful conveyance of fuel, grand theft auto and multiple larceny counts. They were brought to Lee County Jail.
