2 Teens Shot, Face Non-Life-Threatening Injuries In Sarasota: Police
Eleven parked cars and two homes were struck by bullets in a Sunday night shooting in Sarasota, police said.
SARASOTA, FL — Two teenagers are recovering from non-life-threatening injuries after being shot Sunday night in Sarasota, authorities said.
Officers patrolling the area heard multiple gunshots in the 2700 block of Maple Avenue around 8:45 p.m., according to a Sarasota Police Department news release.
They found a 19-year-old woman who had been shot in the area. She was brought to Sarasota Memorial Hospital and later released, police said.

Investigators learned about a second victim, a 17-year-old boy, who was brought to Blake Medical Center in Bradenton with non-life-threatening injuries and later released.
Bullets hit 11 parked cars and two homes in the block, but no other injuries were reported, police said.
