Shootout Suspects Sought In Sarasota Highway Gunfight: Police
People in two vehicles driving north on U.S. 301 exchanged gunfire Friday, said Sarasota police, who are searching for the suspects.
SARASOTA, FL — Detectives are searching for two suspects in a shootout that took place on U.S. 301 on Friday afternoon, Sarasota police said in a news release.
People in two vehicles exchanged gunfire just before 5:30 p.m. in the 3200 block of North Washington Boulevard/U.S. 301.
There were no injuries reported in the shooting. Investigators believe it was an isolated incident.

The vehicles were last seen driving north on U.S. 301. One vehicle was a gray Infiniti SUV, and the other is a white sedan of an unknown make and model, police said.
