311Connect Service Initiative Launched By Sarasota County
Sarasota County residents can access county services through a new initiative called 311Connect, which is accessible by web, app and phone.
SARASOTA COUNTY, FL — Sarasota County government has launched 311Connect, a new customer service initiative that will help the community access all county services in various ways, including by web, mobile app and phone, according to a county news release.
311Connect provides various options for users including:
- Selecting the type of service that they need so the request can be quickly routed to the appropriate county staff.
- Attaching photos and specifying the location where service is needed.
- Receiving an estimated date by which the request will be completed, along with a tracking number and emailed status updates.
- Providing feedback about their customer service experience.
The system will also open a library of information about county services to the community for those who prefer self-service, and in-person service is always available at county facilities. The Sarasota County Contact Center can also be reached directly by calling 311.

The contact center has been a valuable resource for the community and 311Connect is an important evolution of the customer service experience they provide, said Communications Director Donn Patchen.
“This is an exciting opportunity to enhance the connection we have with our residents and visitors,” he added.

According to Sarasota County Administrator Jonathan Lewis, this new central hub of information offers easier access and multiple options for county staff to provide solutions.
“This is a wonderful new tool for our community,” he said. “It also provides staff with consistent updates on the status of requests, collects information for future use, and is easily accessible by phone, app and the internet."
The new service can be accessed online here or using the 311Connect mobile app for iOS or Android devices.
Sarasota County's 311Connect is provided and supported by QScend, a web-based citizen request management system utilized by local and county governments.
