7 Injured After Breeze Bus Crashes Into State College Of Florida Sign: Sheriff

A Sarasota County Breeze bus crashed into the State College of Florida's monument sign at the Venice campus, the sheriff's office said.

SARASOTA COUNTY, FL — Seven people were hurt Monday morning after a collision involving a Breeze bus and another vehicle sent the bus into a State College of Florida monument sign at the Venice campus, the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office said in a social media post.

The crash occurred near 8000 S. Tamiami Trail.

Three people were transported to Wellen Park Emergency for treatment, while another person was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital's Venice campus, the sheriff’s office said.

One person involved in the crash refused treatment; two others were evaluated at the scene and released.
