January 11-12, 2020 sees the return of the 8th Annual Sarasota Winter Fine Art Festival. The event is held in JD Hamel Park at Gulfstream in downtown Sarasota. The Sarasota Downtown Enrichment Association once again graciously hosts the event with the Humane Society of Sarasota County (HSSC) a Special Guest.

Over 130 local, regional and national artisans journey to Sarasota to showcase their art, a collection of beauty and creativity that transforms JD Hamel Park into an outdoor gallery of spectacular painting, sculpture, jewelry, photography, glass, ceramics, fiber and wearable art, mixed-media, metalwork, graphics, woodworking and more. In each art medium you will find a diversity of styles, techniques and materials guided by the unique and compelling visions of each artisan. Explore the option of commissioning a unique piece of art made specifically for you!

The 8th Annual Sarasota Winter Fine Art Festival is open 10 am to 5 pm both Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free. Immerse yourself in the visual experience as your sensibilities and appreciation for beauty guide you!

The Humane Society will have their “Big Mac” mobile adoption center onsite. Call (727-542-3000) to confirm the onsite hours of the Big Mac. Then stop by to say “hi” to the dedicated staff. Meet their extended family of friends awaiting adoption, perhaps in the process finding a new, loving life companion while supporting a wonderful and compassionate organization.
