A Tribute to Joyce Novak - Art Exhibition and Piano Recital

Joyce Keen Novak has worked as an artist for over forty years in the Chicago area and in 

Sarasota, Florida.  She is past president of Florida Artist Group, 

honorary lifetime member of Women Contemporary Artists

and member of the National League of American Pen Women.  

She has had more than forty solo exhibitions

including Chicago, New York, Sarasota as well as an invitational exhibition 

lecture tour at the five leading Universities in China during the time of the 

Tiananmen Square uprising.  Many of her paintings are in public and private 

collections and have received local, regional and national awards.  

Joyce Keen Novak is in “Who’s Who in the World,” 

“Who’s Who in America” and “Who’s Who in 

American Women.”


Ms. Novak has worked in many media including oil, watercolor, mixed media and 

printmaking.  She is strongly influenced by nature and translates 

its beauty into realistic, semiabstract or purely

abstract interpretations. Her digital paintings were created on an electronic 

tablet using an electronic stylus as a brush.


Ms. Novak graciously donated over forty original pieces of artwork to Parkinson Place, a 

Comprehensive Care Center in Sarasota, Florida dedicated to a better life today 

for those living with Parkinson’s disease.  Ms. Novak has been living with Parkinson’s 

for over twelve years.   She continues to paint.

 Pianist, Michael Royal has performed extensively throughout North America, Europe and 

Asia.  His singing tone is warm and beautiful and his ballad playing hypnotizes the listener with lyrical beauty 

and grace.  While his superb technique and sophisticated style reflect his classical training,

 he is deeply rooted in the jazz tradition.  Mr. Royal’s 

repertoire includes a collection of Standards, Ballads and Blues and well as 

classical masterpieces.
