Affordable Housing Town Hall Meeting Set For June 13 In Sarasota: City

Learn about how Sarasota is addressing the city's housing challenges at a June 13 Affordable Housing Town Hall meeting.

SARASOTA, FL — Citizens have the opportunity to learn about how Sarasota is addressing the community’s housing challenges at an Affordable Housing Town Hall meeting June 13, 5:30 p.m.

The meeting, hosted by Commissioner Hagen Brody, will take place at City Hall, 1565 First Street.

The event will include presentations from City Planning Director Steve Cover and Sarasota Housing Authority President and CEO William Russell, who will discuss their organizations’ roles, current projects and initiatives, and how they are helping to create and encourage affordable housing, according to a news release from the city.

“This is a critical opportunity for the community to hear accurate information and to address any questions about what we are doing to make Sarasota a more affordable place to live and the important efforts that are underway,” Brody said.
