First Tee Sarasota/Manatee to present ‘Sip & Shop’ at J.McLaughlin on May 2

On Saturday, May 2, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., First Tee Sarasota/Manatee board members and coaches invite community members to enjoy a "Sip & Shop" event in collaboration with J.McLaughlin, a luxury women's clothing shop on Longboat Key (515 Bay Isles Pkwy). Guests will enjoy sips, bites and luxury fashion; 10% of sales made in person, via telephone or email in this time frame will benefit First Tee, a youth development organization that enables kids to build strength of character through the game of golf.

In addition to the refreshments and shopping, patrons can learn more about First Tee's programs for area youth as well as donate gently-used clothing and golf equipment for use by First Tee program participants.

If purchases are made prior to the event on May 2, customers should let store personnel know that it is to benefit First Tee and the donation will be processed accordingly.

While some of the organization's programs do have a fee, First Tee Sarasota/Manatee works with children at numerous nonprofit partner sites at no charge. The organization also offers programs for free to parents who indicate they need financial assistance – no questions asked – as well as offering a 75% discount to the children of veterans.
