SARASOTA, FL — A “looksmaxxing” TikTok influencer from Sarasota was arrested Wednesday on child porn possession charges, reports said.
Mason Hull, 18, was charged with 15 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material, the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
Known as “Hullo” online, he has nearly 350,000 followers on his now-private TikTok account, the Orlando Sentinel reported.
He’s associated with the “looksmaxxing” content trend of young men and boys on social media focusing on their physique and physical appearance.
Hull’s now ex-girlfriend, suspecting he was cheating on her, found the images while looking through his phone on April 30, WFLA reported. She found that he was messaging users on the Telegram app who were selling and distributing child porn files.
That day, deputies responded to interview Hull and review evidence. Investigators determined the materials appeared to contain links to websites used to obtain child sexual abuse material, as well as conversations discussing payment for files.
Hull’s mobile device was seized at the conclusion of the interview to obtain a search warrant.
He was arrested Wednesday in the parking lot of his home following the forensic examination of his cell phone, which was found to contain images and videos depicting girls from 8 to 15 years old, the sheriff’s office said.
Because of his significant social media presence, anyone who may have information regarding this investigation is encouraged to contact the SCSO Investigations Bureau at 941-861-4900.
