SARASOTA, FL — The Chocolate Emporium, a small-batch, handcrafted confectionery and candy shop on Anna Maria Island, has opened a second location in Sarasota.
The artisanal chocolate shop opened Thursday at St. Armands Circle, the company wrote in a social media post.
“While many of you know and love our original Anna Maria Island shop, we’re thrilled to bring our handmade chocolates, fresh fudge, candy, and sweet treats to Sarasota as well,” the post said.
The shop is one of three tenants to move into a property at 28 S. Boulevard of the Presidents that was rehabilitated after extensive damage from Hurricane Helene, the Business Observer said.
The Chocolate Emporium took over 1,446 square feet in the building, the report said. Other tenants are Acadia Jewels Fine Jewelry & Design, which opened in January, and Le Shop, a coffee shop, wine bar, and market that opened in November.
The original Chocolate Emporium is located at 216C Pine Ave. in Anna Maria.
“Thank you to all of our amazing customers for supporting us and helping us grow. Whether you visit us on Anna Maria Island or at St. Armands Circle, we can’t wait to serve you,” the owners wrote.
The brand’s store manager Liv Baker told the Observer Media Group that they envision more Chocolate Emporium locations to open down the road.
"I think this is going to be the first of many," Baker said. "Our first location opened in August, not even a year ago, and it's done amazing. We're expanding fast."
