Art Center Sarasota Announces Completion of Atrium Galleries Renovation And Lighting Project

is pleased to announce the completion of renovations to the Atrium Galleries at the center.

The Art Center received a generous donation of $25,000 from Howard and Betty Isermann to install new, improved lighting in the galleries. The objective of the lighting project was to ensure that the artworks on display were presented in the best possible manner, students had sufficient lighting to create artwork and events and programs were able to adjust lighting to specific needs. Energy efficient bulbs and fixtures were used wherever possible to lower electricity costs.

In addition to new lighting in the Atrium Galleries, Art Center supporters Elaine and David Charney donated funds to renovate all of the walls of the galleries with neutral carpeting that complements artwork and hides damage to the walls from constant rehanging of exhibitions.
