Everest University Online donated six laptop computers to the USO’s new Tampa Bay facility at Tampa International Airport to support the United States military and their families. The donation was made in December, in time for the holiday season.
The USO and Everest teams including Calvin Forehand, director of military development with the Everest University Tampa campus; Tish Sheesley, executive director of USO Tampa Bay, Inc.; and Walter Rice, senior director of military operations for Everest University Online Division recently came together to celebrate the donation at USO Tampa Bay.
The computers allow men and women in uniform to work, connect with loved ones and maintain communication while traveling through the airport. The laptops are preloaded with the Microsoft WindowsÒ 7 operating system and the Microsoft OfficeÒ 2010 suite of products. Each laptop also includes wireless capabilities, a webcam, Bluetooth technology and a DVD/CDROM.
