Get Golf Ready at Bobby Jones Golf Club

Bobby Jones Golf Club is hosting Get Golf Ready, a fun and affordable golf instruction program for people with little or no golf experience every Saturday from July 13 through Aug. 10, 2013, for an affordable price of $99.  All sessions will be taught by Head PGA Golf Professional Christian Martin and Assistant Golf Professional Daniel Bailey.

Aimed at bringing Juniors and Adults into golf in a fast, fun and affordable way in a group setting, Get Golf Ready offers five lessons that concentrate on basic skills, instruction and information on the Rules of golf, etiquette and values. Participants learn techniques regarding chipping and putting, full swing and bunker play, as well as the fundamental guidelines of use and maintenance of golf equipment, keeping score and navigating the course

 NOTES:

  • More than 170,000 students have participated in Get Golf Ready since its inception in 2009, including a record number of 75,900 in 2012, a 47 percent increase over 2011.
  • A total of 3,065 facilities were certified to host Get Golf Ready in 2012, a 62 percent increase from 2011 which is the largest annual increase to date. 
  • Studies show once participants go through the program, they continue to play golf - and lots of it. Of all GGR program graduates in 2012, 83 percent continue to play and practice in their first year after completing the program.
