SARASOTA, FL – Nancy Havens, DDS, has recently relocated her general dentistry practice to Benevista Dental in the Intercoastal Medical Complex at 943 S. Beneva Road, Suite 310, Sarasota, FL 34232. A practicing dentist in the Sarasota area for almost 20 years, she also serves as a forensic odontologist.
“I am happy to join the caliber team at Benevista Dental,” said Dr. Havens. “This move enables me to focus on my patients, while the staff provides the administrative support and management.”
Dr. Havens holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Case Western Reserve Weatherhead School of Management in Cleveland, and a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from The Ohio State College of Dentistry in Columbus.

Raised in Fairview Park outside of Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Havens worked as a nurse and a dental hygienist before moving to Sarasota in 1976. She continued nursing with Sarasota Memorial Hospital and Doctors Hospital, alternating between the two hospitals for many years.
In 1982, Dr. Havens moved to Sumiswald, Switzerland, where she worked three years with a private dentist and participated in periodontal and oral cancer research at the Inselspital in Bern.

Dr. Havens also serves on a federal and a state mass disaster team and is on the Affiliate Staff at Sarasota Memorial Hospital for tooth pain and oral disease.
