Applebee's of Venice Raising Money for Alex's Lemonade Stand

Applebee's® Neighborhood Grill + Bar restaurants in Florida and Georgia have teamed up with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for a fifteenth consecutive year to take a stand against childhood cancer! Beginning today and through Sunday, August 11, participating Applebee’s restaurants will be raising funds for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation by selling lemon-shaped pin-up cards in $1 and $5 increments and by inviting guests to purchase a Quencher Lemonade, new Rainbow Lemonade or regular lemonade when dining in-restaurant, as a portion of the proceeds from these drinks will help children impacted by cancer – the leading cause of death in children under 19.

Additionally, the Applebee’s of Venice has even decided to take their fundraising efforts to the next level! General Manager Stacy Jones will be getting a celebratory lemon tattoo if his location meets its goal and raises $3,000 for the cause. Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation was established in 2005 to continue the mission of four-year-old Alex, who while fighting her own battle against cancer, set up a lemonade stand to help raise money for “doctors to find a cure” for all childhood cancers.

In Florida, Applebee’s is located in Boynton Beach, Cape Coral, Coral Springs, Cutler Bay, Delray Beach, Doral, Estero, Florida City, Fort Myers, Fort Pierce, Greenacres, Hialeah, Jacksonville, Margate, Naples, North Port, Okeechobee, Pembroke Pines, Port St. Lucie, Punta Gorda, Royal Palm Beach, Sarasota, St. Augustine, Sunrise, Tamarac, Venice and Vero Beach, and in Georgia in Brunswick, Kingsland and Waycross.
