Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota, a classical music presenting organization, is seeking a friendly, organized, people-oriented professional to join their team as Manager of Community Engagement. Manager of Community Engagement

Part-Time | 12 hours per week | Hybrid work | Flexible hours | Community-Based

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys project management, relationship-building, and being out in the community, while also coordinating a meaningful youth music competition which occurs during the spring season. Reports to the executive director.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Community Outreach & Engagement (peak season: September-May)

Build relationships with parenting groups, senior communities, activity directors, local organizations and businesses

Help design and coordinate small, engaging presentations and music programs in community settings, work closely with the team, especially with the director of educational outreach and director of artistic planning to maintain alignment of our brand throughout our offerings

Serve as a friendly ambassador for the organization throughout the Sarasota area

Attend team meetings

Suncoast Music Competition (Seasonal: February-May)

Coordinate logistics and communications for our annual competition for students in grades 9–12

Be a point of contact for students, families, schools, venue and judges

Coordinate the winners’ showcase in the spring

Strong project management and organizational skills

Alumni & Student Engagement

Stay connected with past competition winners and alumni

Help foster a sense of long-term belonging and connection

Occasionally coordinate alumni participation in educational outreach concerts, when available and an annual gathering

WHO YOU ARE

Strong project management and organizational skills

Comfortable juggling multiple timelines and responsibilities

Enjoys being people-facing, mobile, and community-based

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Enjoys music and values the arts as a tool for connection and well-being. A background in classical music or knowledge of the field is preferred but not required.

Self-directed, flexible, and comfortable working in a part-time role with seasonal shifts in focus
