Beach University Series Returns To Siesta Beach In March
Every Thursday, Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources presents its Beach University education series at Siesta Beach.

SARASOTA COUNTY, FL — A free educational series presented by Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources department returns to Siesta Beach every Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in March.
Community members and visitors are invited to learn about coastal environments in weekly one-hour sessions in the Siesta Beach main pavilion at 948 Beach Road. Those who can’t make it in person can tune in virtually at the SRQ County Play Facebook page.
The following topics will be presented each week throughout March:

- March 3: History of the Key and Surrounding Areas.
- March 10: Florida Fossils.
- March 17: Impacts of Human Behaviors on the Environment.
- March 24: Marvelous Mangroves.
- March 31: Share the Shore: Helping the Siesta Beach Nesting Birds
This series is a partnership with the Siesta Beach Ambassador volunteer program.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs as seating is limited. No registration is required.
