Bearded Clam Raises $3,500 for Tornado Victims
More than 300 patrons participated in the two-day fundraiser with many local businesses donating raffle items and monetary contributions.

The Bearded Clam Waterfront Restaurant raised $3,350 during their two-day buffet-style fundraiser for the Southern Storm & Tornado Relief Fund of the American Red Cross – Southwest Florida Chapter May 21 and 22.
Donations will continue to be collected at the Bearded Clam. The American Red Cross held a check ceremony at 3pm on Wednesday at the Bearded Clam.
"The Southwest Florida Chapter of the American Red Cross is thrilled with the success of the Bearded Clam's Tornado Victim fundraiser this past weekend. These vital funds will allow the Red Cross to continue to provide much needed disaster relief and services to the thousands of people affected by this horrible tragedy", said Megarie Van Sickel, Chief Operating Officer Southwest Florida Chapter of the American Red Cross.

Monetary contributions may also be sent or dropped off at the Bearded Clam 7150 N Tamiami Trail, Sarasota FL 34243, payable to the American Red Cross SW-FL.
