Bee Ridge Publix to Open Thursday

At 8 a.m. this Thursday, Oct. 6, the rebuilt Publix at 3690 Bee Ridge Rd., will open to the public. The store because the grocery store was too small, Publix officials said.

Store Hours

• 7 days a week            7 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Pharmacy Hours

• Monday - Friday          9 a.m. - 8 p.m.
• Saturday                    9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
• Sunday                      11 a.m. - 5 p.m.

According to Publix the construction went as scheduled. Publix officials said the old building is too small and sections in the store are smaller than what they need to be. The size, they said, is why the structure was demolished and not remodeled. 

In addition to this store opening, Publix will be opening another new store in Sarasota in early November. This store will be located at 2031 Bay Street.
