Bicyclist Injured In Hit-And-Run Crash In Sarasota: FL Troopers
Investigators are looking for a car involved in a hit-and-run crash that injured a bicyclist on Bee Ridge Road, FL troopers said.
SARASOTA, FL — A bicyclist was critically injured in a Thursday night hit-and-run crash on Bee Ridge Road, Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.
The bicyclist, a 27-year-old Sarasota man, was heading in an unknown direction on the east side of the intersection of Bee Ridge Road and McIntosh Road.
He was hit by an unknown vehicle traveling west on Bee Ridge Road, approaching the intersection, around 10:30 p.m., FHP said.

The bicyclist was brought to an area hospital after the crash.
The driver sped away from the scene, heading west.

The vehicle is believed to be a black 2012 to 2015 Nissan Altima or Maxima with heavy front-end damage and a destroyed windshield traveling west at a high rate, troopers said.
