Body Found Outside Sarasota House There For Several Days, Police Say

SARASOTA, FL — Authorities are investigating after a man's body was found outside a Sarasota home on Monday.

According to police, the body was discovered outside a home in the 300 block of North Washington Drive. In a news release, Sarasota police said it was apparent the body "had been there for several days."

Police have not identified the man and the cause of death remains under investigation.

"We want to assure the public that this is believed to be an isolated incident and the public is not in danger," Sarasota police said in a statement. "There are no signs of foul play."
