Bradenton Man Sold Drugs At Fredd Atkins Park: Sarasota Police
Officers found drugs on a Bradenton man arrested on a felony warrant for trafficking cocaine, Sarasota police said.

SARASOTA, FL — A Bradenton man faces felony charges after selling drugs at Fredd Atkins Park on Tuesday, according to a Sarasota Police Department news release.
Pernell Ware, 46, sale/possession with intent of a controlled substance within 1000’ of a park (cocaine), sale/possession with intent of a controlled substance within 1000’ of a park (synthetic cannabinoid/spice), and sale/possession with intent of a controlled substance within 1000’ of a park (marijuana).
At the time of his arrest, he was also wanted on a felony warrant for trafficking cocaine of 28 grams or more but less than 200 grams, police said.

Officers saw Ware, a known felony warrant suspect, at the park on Tuesday, just after 1 p.m.
After they put him in handcuffs, officers found $718, 23 grams of spice, 27.2 grams of crack cocaine and 46.7 grams of marijuana on him.

Ware told them he had drugs on them and had been selling them before officers approached him, police said.
He was arrested and brought to Sarasota County Jail, where he’s being held on a $60,000 bond.
