For more than 40 years now, Sarasota’s luxurious downtown waterfront is transformed to a boat lover’s haven when the <a href="https://www.suncoastboatshow.com" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Suncoast Boat Show</a> arrives. This year’s event takes place again at Marina Jack’s Thursday, April 17 through Sunday, April 19, 2026, presenting an extraordinary array of sportfishing, power boats and motor yachts in water and on land.
The Suncoast Boat Show is hosted by the U.S. Boat Show division of Informa Markets, the exhibitions organizer that owns and operates the world’s leading international boat and yacht events.

Tickets are $21 per person and children ages 15 and under are free. Active military and veterans are eligible for complimentary one-day general admission. The show opens on Friday, April 17 at 10 a.m. and continues until 6 p.m., and on Saturday, April 18 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 19 hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Marina Jack, #2 Marina Plaza, Sarasota, Florida. 
For children, a popular seminar called <a href="https://hookthefuture.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Hook the Future</a> is presented by Captain Don Dingman. This free fishing clinic for children ages 4-16 takes place at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, and Sunday, April 19. All children in attendance receive a complimentary fishing pole. Captain Don has hosted kids fishing clinics at major boat shows and events across the Southeast, teaching thousands of families how to succeed in fishing while spending quality time outdoors with people you love.

Eddie is a native Floridian. He has been singing and playing piano since he was eight years old. Attending the University of Miami, Eddie was in the Studio Music and Jazz Piano program. He entertained around the country and on cruise ships. He spent 15 great years in Nashville accompanying the Forester Sisters, who opened for Kenny Rogers, and traveling with Brenda Lee. For seven and a half years, Eddie was music director, pianist, conductor and arranger for Engelbert Humperdinck. While attending a Eddie Tobin show you will hear jazz, blues, standards, ragtime, classical, pop, calypso and country music. Sarasota Jewish Theatre (SJT) presents its annual end-of-season Community Conversation, moderated by SJT’s Associate Artistic Director Michael Raver, and featuring the playwrights of all three of this season’s Howard Millman Performance Series plays participating via Zoom. Community Conversation attendees will take part in a wide-ranging and comprehensive discussion about the central ideas explored in the plays, with a focus on the thought-provoking issues raised in the plays, and the confluence of incidents in the plays to events that are happening in our country today. The panel includes Clark Young (“Remember This: The Lesson of Jan Karski”), Charles Busch (“The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife”), and David Gow (“Cherry Docs”). SarasotaJewishTheatre.org

This beloved Broadway classic tells the story of fast-talking salesman Harold Hill, who arrives in River City, Iowa, with a plan to con the townspeople into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band he has no intention of organizing. But things get complicated when he falls for the town’s sharp-witted librarian, Marian. Singer Cameron Wade continues to attract new fans through acclaimed performances across Southwest Florida. Since relocating from Atlanta to Port Charlotte three years ago, his reputation has steadily grown—whether performing duo shows with celebrated jazz guitarist Jeff Feldstein, presenting his one-man show Baritone Dreams, or serving as frontman for some of the area’s top musicians.
Cameron’s diverse repertoire—branded as “Jazz, Pop, Soul &amp; Motown”—spans a wide range of crowd-pleasing classics made famous by Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Lou Rawls, Bill Withers and more—music that audiences love to sing along with, dance to, or both.
On Thursday, Cameron brings his solo show to Amore’s Portuguese‑Italian Restaurant, located at 180 N. Lime Avenue, Sarasota, Florida, for an evening of soulful vocals and timeless songs.
