League of Women Voters to Speak on Ballot Measures

Members of the League of Women Voters of Sarasota County will be speaking on Wednesday, September 16, at the Women’s Resource Center at 2 p.m. Sponsored by AAUW (American Association of University Women) Sarasota, they will be addressing the questions that are on the ballot this year. Much attention has been focused on the property tax debate; however, other questions of significance to voters are also on the November ballot. To learn more about them and understand the pros and cons of each, join us. The Women’s Resource Center is located at 340 South Tuttle Ave., Sarasota. 

The League of Women Voters and the American Association of University Women are both non-partisan organizations. AAUW Sarasota is a member of the national organization of over 40,000 women.One part of our mission is to support educational opportunities for girls and women, and each year is one of the largest grantors of scholarships and grants in the country. An educated citizenry makes informed decisions, the focus for both organizations.
