Standing with Haiti:  Effects of TPS Termination  for Hattian Immigrants in Florida

Standing With Haiti, a panel discussion about the end of Temporary Protection Status (TPS) for Haitian immigrants and how it will impact FL communities, will be held Saturday, September 26th at 10:30am at Unitarian Universalists of Sarasota, 3975 Fruitville Rd., 34232. The event is free and all are welcome.

Sponsored by the Immigration Justice Coalition of Southwest FL (IJCSWFL), the panel discussion will explore the impact of TPS termination on Haitian families, workers, businesses, and communities in our state. Haitian community leaders, advocates and affected families will share their perspectives, experiences, and insights on this important immigration issue.

IJCSWFL spokeswoman Maria Robayo says, "This is an excellent way to learn how we can stand in solidarity and take action to protect our neighbors and our communities.”
