Originally developed to treat Type 2 Diabetes and subsequently discovered to have dramatic weight loss properties, these drugs have profound effects on metabolism and behavior. Their biological structure and function will be explained with analogies and metaphors that are accessible to non-scientists. You will be able to appreciate not only why they have such diverse physiologic and behavioral impacts, but also the potential costs and benefits they carry.
