Car Rolls Into Sarasota Bay After Driver Chases After Dog: Police

SARASOTA, FL — First responders were called to the 10th Street Boat Ramp at Centennial Park to pull a car from Sarasota Bay last week, authorities said.

The car rolled into the bay after the driver’s dog jumped out of the vehicle and he chased after the pup, “like any of us would,” Sarasota police shared in a Facebook post.

Police said, “In all of the chaos, he forgot to put his car into park and it rolled into the water. We are happy to report man and man’s best friend are a-ok!”
