Cash, Drugs, Gun Seized in Sarasota Bust

A 31-year-old Sarasota man faces criminal charges after police officers executed a search warrant at his home Thursday.

According to the Sarasota Police Department, a search was conducted at 2833 N. Links Ave., Apt. A, after an investigation into possible drug sales out of the home was launched. Police say they seized 331 grams of marijuana, drug packaging, paraphernalia, a .40 caliber handgun and $3,450 in cash during the search.

Isaiah Edwards was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of drug paraphernalia.
