Food Network Stars Open Sarasota Restaurant
The stars of the Food Network series “Summer Rush” have opened a new restaurant in the Sarasota area.

Buddy Foy, Jr., and Jennifer Foy opened the Chateau Sarasota at 2001 Siesta Drive in Sarasota on Saturday, according to WFLA.
The couple also owns and operates Chateau restaurants in Bolton Landing, New York, on Lake George, and on Anna Maria Island.

Chicago-Style Hot Dog Eatery Opens on AMI
A Chicago-style hot dog restaurant, Double Deez Chicago Style Hotdogs, has opened on Anna Maria Island.
The new restaurant has opened in the former space of Mr. Bones BBQ at 3009 Gulf Drive N. in Holmes Beach, according to the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.
Double Deez is owned by husband-and-wife team — and Bradenton Beach residents — Vince and Deborah Scaccianoce.
Breakfast Company Opening in Sarasota
The Breakfast Company is opening its second location in Sarasota’s The Landings shopping center Tuesday at 7 a.m., the restaurant shared on Facebook.
“The wait is over!” the owners wrote in a post. “An enormous thank you for everyone’s patience throughout our extensive renovations and to everyone who made this possible. We cannot wait to welcome you!”
The company also owns and operates a location in Bradenton at 7246 55th Ave. E.
Both eateries are open Tuesday through Sunday, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Oyster Bar Owner Believes Robot Will Help with Labor Shortages
With restaurants facing labor shortages in recent years, the owner of the local Oyster Bar chain told Bay News 9 that he believes robots and automation will play a large role in the industry’s future.
The Anna Maria Oyster Bar Landside in Bradenton added its first robot, Pearl, to its staff in December 2021 to beta test the technology. The restaurant recently employed its second robot server — dubbed Pearl 2.0 — in January to deliver food to diners’ tables.
"I truly believe that you're going to see more and more robotics," John Horne, Oysters Rock Hospitality CEO, said. "Pearl has been with us for a year-and-a-half now. She hasn't missed a single shift."
Toasted Yolk Café Opens in Sarasota
The Toasted Yolk Café, a Houston-based brunch restaurant, has opened its doors at 3750 S. Tamiami Trail in Sarasota.
The eatery took over the space formerly occupied by Irish 31, according to the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.
The restaurant is known for its extensive restaurant and lunch menu. It also has a liquor license and serves various cocktails, as well as beer and wine.
