Notices Sent Out Thursday For Venice Vaccine Clinic

VENICE, FL — A state-operated pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinic will take place Sunday at the Venice Municipal Airport Festival Fairgrounds, Brianne Grant, media relations officer for Sarasota County, said in an email Thursday.

Between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Sunday, around 5,000 vaccine doses will be given, she said.

Individuals selected for the clinic will be pulled from the county’s Everbridge registration system. Notifications will be sent out to those chosen for the pop-up event Thursday afternoon.

The county is scheduling through number 79,616 in the registration system, Grant said.

Those who receive a notice must reply with one of three options: confirming the appointment, stating that they’re unavailable for the appointment time or opting out of the county’s system.

If receiving notifications by phone, the call will come from 941-861-8297. Emails will come from the Department of Health in Sarasota County COVID-19 Vaccine Registration System using the email address DOHcovid19vaccine@scgov.net. And those notified by text will receive a message from the number 88911.
