Chef Rolf’s New Florida Kitchen Closes Its Doors On Siesta Drive, Hints At Future Location

Seafood restaurant Chef Rolf's New Florida Kitchen, which opened in 2018, announced its sudden closure, indicated it could reopen elsewhere.

SARASOTA, FL — Seafood restaurant Chef Rolf’s New Florida Kitchen announced on its sudden closure on its Facebook page Tuesday.

“We regret to inform you, our gracious customers, that we have decided to close Chef Rolf’s (New Florida Kitchen),” the restaurant posted. “Thank you to everyone that has chosen to dine with (and) support our business and family in these trying times. We greatly appreciate every single one of our patrons.”

The restaurant hinted that it could reopen elsewhere down the road, asking followers to stay connected on social media and its website “for updates on a new restaurant location in the closure future.”

Chef Rolf’s New Florida Kitchen has operated at 2001 Siesta Drive, Suite 100 in Sarasota, the former location of Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion, since opening in 2018. It was located next to Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar.

The restaurant’s concept of “serving up fresh locally sourced prime seafood in a sophisticated coastal setting” was created by the Swiss-trained chef Rolf Zahnd, who hosted a local TV cooking show of the same name, SRQ Media reported.
