Beyond Barbershop: Chorus of the Keys Expands Its Style For Upcoming Sarasota Show

The Chorus of the Keys' Feb. 23 concert at Riverview High School will take people on trip through some of the top hits from the 1950s to the '90s.

Not all barbershop quartet music is old, and that's what the Sarasota Chorus of the Keys is out to show in its next annual concert on Saturday, Feb. 23.

The Sarasota group will be performing top hits from the 1950s to the '90s in a barbershop quartet style.

There's also going to be a bit of humor thrown into the show with Kent Perry, comedian and Chorus member, emceeing as Casey Kasem for the night.

The music is a change from the norm for the Chorus, but Perry promises that the show will still maintain the fun and feel of a traditional Chorus of the Keys show.

The concert will be at Riverview High School, 1 Ram Way, Sarasota, FL and starts at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 to $35 and can be purchased at chorusofthekeys.org or by calling 941-484-7589.
