Christmas Eve ATV Crash Kills Sarasota Woman: FL Highway Patrol
A Sarasota woman was killed Christmas Eve after being thrown from her ATV, which overturned when she lost control, FL Highway Patrol said.
SARASOTA COUNTY, FL — An early Christmas Eve morning ATV crash in Sarasota County left a woman dead, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
The 20-year-old Sarasota woman was traveling north on Myakka Valley Trail, north of Sheps Island Road, when she lost control of the ATV around a left curve at about 3:30 a.m.
She was ejected from the ATV as it overturned, FHP said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her passenger, a 19-year-old Sarasota man, suffered minor injuries in the crash.
