Course Challenges Sarasota Teens to Drive Better

The free program is offered by the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office.

Young Sarasota drivers who want to learn how to perform better behind the wheel are invited to take part in the next Teen Driver Challenge.

The free program, offered by the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, is meant to teach teens defensive driving skills. Set up with a classroom and behind-the-wheel component, the program provides “teen drivers with knowledge and understanding of the forces created by an automobile and the effects of those forces on the human body,” the agency wrote in a media release.
