Gym Franchise Owners Plan To Open New Crunch Facility In East Sarasota In Fall 2022

SARASOTA, FL — Crunch gym franchise owners will expand into eastern Sarasota with the opening of a new multi-million dollar, 25,000-square-foot facility, the company said in a news release.

The new gym will open in the fall of 2022 in Southwest Village at 7111 Fruitville Road, near the intersection of Fruitville Road and Lakewood Ranch Boulevard.

The facility will offer cardio- and strength-training equipment, a group fitness studio, the HIITZone for high intensity interval training, a hot yoga studio, a cycling studio, dry saunas, HydroMassage beds, spacious locker rooms and more, the company said.

Crunch East Sarasota is owned by Vince Julien, Geoff Dyer, Tony Scrimale and Jeff Dotson, who combined have built more than 120 Crunch clubs. The Crunch team currently has four existing clubs in the Sarasota-Bradenton area with the addition of Crunch Parrish opening in June.

"We are excited about sharing the unique experience of the Crunch brand with the residents surrounding our newest location in East Sarasota," Julien said. "We hope our ‘no judgments’ mentality and memberships starting as low as $9.99 a month will bring a new energy to the community."

Crunch is known for its group fitness programming and will offer a wide range of classes every week, including BodyWeb with TRX, Zumba, Cardio Tai Box, Yoga Body Sculpt and Fat Burning Pilates. Members looking for additional guidance or motivation can utilize the HIITZone, a proprietary high-intensity interval group training program.

There are more than 400 Crunch gyms serving more than 1.8 million members worldwide.
