3 People Found Dead at Hotel

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the discovery of three dead people at a Venice hotel Friday morning.

According to the sheriff’s office, workers at the Fairfield Inn & Suites, 2935 Executive Drive, found the bodies.

The 911 call to the sheriff’s office same in around 10:03 a.m., the sheriff’s office reported in an email to media. Detectives say the deaths appear to be the result of a double homicide and suicide. The deceased include an adult man, his wife and mother.

No further details are available at this time, including the victims’ identities.
