DUI Driver Crashes Through Dog Day Care In Sarasota: Police
A drunken driver crashed into Camp Bow Wow Sarasota early Sunday morning, Sarasota police said.

SARASOTA, FL — A drunken driver crashed into a dog day care in Sarasota early Sunday morning, police said.
There were no injuries in the crash. The driver, who was not identified, was arrested and faces a charge of DUI with property damage, police said.
The driver hit a pole before driving into Camp Bow Wow Sarasota at 2101 17th St. just before 1:30 a.m. The crash caused “significant damage” to the business, Sarasota police said on Facebook.

Camp Bow Wow closed temporarily on May 4 for renovations, including bigger play areas, new grass and turf, new cabins and installation of high-resolution cameras, according to its Facebook page. It was scheduled to reopen July 6.
“We are fortunate no staff or pups were there due to the renovations,” owner Anita Sahoo said in a Facebook comment.

She added that the business’s reopening “will be delayed" because of the accident.
In addition to dog day care, Camp Bow Wow also offers upscale boarding.
