Churches, businesses and organizations are hosting various events celebrating the Easter holiday throughout Sarasota County.
SARASOTA COUNTY, FL — If you’re looking for something fun to do with the family to celebrate Easter, there are plenty of events planned throughout the Sarasota area

Through April 16, Mondays through Fridays, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sundays, noon to 6 p.m.

Reserve your photo session with the Easter Bunny in advance. Walk-ups are welcome. Various packages are available.
Ashton Elementary School

This free event includes arts and crafts, an egg hunt, a playground, face painting, a raffle and prizes, and more.
Adult Easter Egg Hunt Fundraiser
April 9, 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Sarasota Children’s Garden
1670 10th Way, Sarasota
There are more than $1,000 in prizes; wine, beer, and “boozy bunnies”; and chef-made paella.
Easter Egg Decorating & Easter Bonnet Parade
April 10, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Wellen Park, 12275 Mercado Drive, Venice
There will be egg decorating, Easter treats and an Easter bonnet contest. Advance registration is required for this free event.
April 16, 10 to 11:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Downtown Venice
The first part of the day will feature an Easter egg hunt, as well as an appearance by ChuckO the Clown, at West Blalock Park, 401 Pensacola Road. The second half of this holiday event takes place at Centennial Park, 200 West Venice Ave., and features live music and a visit with the Easter Bunny.
April 14, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Arlington Park & Aquatic Complex
2650 Waldmere Street, Sarasota
Bring your furry friend to this egg hunt. Dogs who find the “golden egg” will get a special prize.
April 15, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Sarasota Jungle Gardens
3701 Bay Shore Drive, Sarasota
More than 40,000 eggs will be hidden on two different trails at Sarasota Jungle Gardens. Other activities include the petting zoo; bird, reptile, and wildlife shows; flamingo feedings; jungle trail exploration; and special live bunny interactions. Photos with the Easter Bunny are available for an extra fee.
April 16, 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Sarasota Children’s Garden
1670 10th Way, Sarasota
Eggs filled with prizes are hidden around the garden. Find candy, treasures or Ben & Jerry’s free scoop coupons inside eggs. This event is registration only.
April 16, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Meadows Country Club
3101 Longmeadow, Sarasota
Enjoy an egg run, visit with the Easter Bunny, inflatables, face painting, crafts and games, balloon animals, putting and tennis, and more. Cost is $5 for anyone 10 and older and $3 for everyone under $10.
