First of all, I'd like the world to know that I am now the head of New Store Development for Pedego Electric Bikes in Florida, looks like we got Broward County this week AND Pedego was chosen to make electric bikes for Ford!! and what a bike it is. Designed by the world famous Tony Ellsworth it is a site to behold and the performance is out of this world. Now for my argument. Though I love the proliferation of EVs out there, whenever we have the opportunity to change from fossil fuel vehicles to something more efficient and green I'm all for it, but in some ways we are missing the boat. We don't really need more vehicles out there at all, what we need is more two wheel vehicles, you know, bicycles. Traffic congestion here in Sarasota is as bad as usual and with season coming up, its gonna get worse. We need to concentrate on making this a more bike friendly town, whether pedal power or electric, and BTW you can pedal the electric bikes all you want, the power is there when you need or want it.
