SARASOTA, FL -- Whether you're of Hungarian descent or just love the culture, you'll want to check out this weekend's Sarasota Hungarian Festival.
The 12th annual festival continues Sunday, Oct. 14, from noon to 8 p.m. at the Sarasota Fairgrounds, 3000 Ringling Blvd.
The festival features Hungarian cuisine, traditional music and dancing, archery, games, crafts, a goulash-cooking contest and live entertainment.

The festival was founded by the Global Friendship Foundation to allow Hungarians as well as those of Hungarian descent to embrace their roots and share their culture with the community.
It began 12 years ago with one musician, five vendors and about 300 attendees. This year's festival will feature musicians throughout the two-day event, 20 vendors and close to 4,000 attendees.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $5 for youth and free for children age 12 and younger.
