Erickson Senior Living Names Emerson Lakes’ First Executive Director
Dynamic senior living leader brings 20+ experience to Lakewood Ranch

Lakewood Ranch, FL – Erickson Senior Living, a national leader in developing and managing continuing care retirement communities, has named Matt Neville as the first executive director of Emerson Lakes, opening early next year. Neville will oversee management and operations for the scenic 46-acre campus coming to Lakewood Ranch, Fla., beginning in July.
“Matt brings more than two decades of leadership experience with Erickson Senior Living and long has been a champion for delivering the highest quality lifestyle and services for residents, while promoting a dynamic and rewarding environment for team members,” said Neal Gantert, vice president, regional operations at Erickson Senior Living. “His operational expertise and people-centered leadership make him the ideal choice to lead our newest premier senior living community.”
Neville joined Erickson Senior Living in 2005 and most recently served as executive director of Highland Springs, an Erickson Senior Living–managed community in North Dallas, Texas. Previously, he held the role of associate executive director. During his tenure at Highland Springs, Neville established a reputation as a results-driven leader committed to resident satisfaction and organizational excellence.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting with a minor in business administration from Illinois State University and holds a certified public accountant (CPA) designation.
Construction of Emerson Lakes has been underway since 2024, beginning with Sandhill Point, the community’s first residential building, set to open in early 2027. Also scheduled to open next year, the two-story, 50,000-square-foot Coral Ridge clubhouse will serve as the heart of the community. Designed to inspire engagement and wellness, it will feature game and card rooms, creative arts spaces, club meeting spaces, a fitness studio, a resort-style swimming pool with lap lanes, a zero-entry ramp, and spa tub.

Coral Ridge will also elevate the dining experience with two signature restaurant options: Water's Edge, café-style dining on the lower level, and Breeze Point, an elevated, reservation-based restaurant with a bar and expanded seating on the second floor. Each restaurant will feature more than 25 rotating entree options, with executive chefs regularly updating menus to provide fresh, seasonal selections.
