The class is designed to develop ways of saying things and translating the drawn or verbal image into the language of abstraction, thus achieving the student's artistic potential. Students will be encouraged to find their own style through experimentation. Learn the technique of using acrylic paints with other mediums for special effects on different surfaces. Approach to different styles of abstract paintings and use of color, line, forms and collages will be covered. There will be demos, creative exercises and one-on-one instruction for each student followed by critiques. Beginners welcome.
