Beer Tastings of Famous Lindeman Lambic Beers and Sharing Platters at Brasserie Belge

Christian Zebier, owner of Sarasota’s only authentic Belgian restaurant and the ultimate place to enjoy imported fine Belgian beers, presents a special beer and food tasting on Wednesday, April 27 from 5-7 p.m. featuring the famous selections of reserve Lindeman’s artisan beers.

In the town of Vlezenbeek, Belgium, the Lindeman family began commercially brewing in 1811. Their beers are “lambic”, or spontaneously fermented beers and they are among the world’s rarest. They are the only beers fermented with wild, airborne yeast. No yeast is added by the brewers. The unusual, demanding and unique flavors that come from multiple yeast strains are unmatched in the world of beer.

Enjoy these unique fruity wheat beers and savor famous Belgian frites with homemade mayonnaise, Belgian artisan cheeses and other tasty bites such as steak tartare. Meet friends inside at Brasserie Belge’s new European pub club. This is a lively (and informative) happy hour like none other in the city. Seating is limited in the pub club so reservations are required. For more information, call 706-1944. www.brasseriebelge.com
