The negative and positive printmaking will be explored in this one day class. The negative block is created by pressing into soft blocks to create lines that will not receive ink. The positive image will be made by gluing cut shapes to a block. Only these raised shapes receive ink. Students will make both blocks and have time to do some printing in this basic class that also explores creating patterns. Students should bring an apron or work shirt.
