More than 125 gingerbread houses will be on display at Westfield Sarasota Square created by youth groups and businesses. This fun holiday event takes place in Macy's Wing next to Santa.
Admission is $1 per person (receive a family rate for 5+ people). All proceeds benefit Community Youth Development.
Special features this year include:
"Iron Chef" style contest - chefs racing the clock in the ultimate holiday decoration showdown!
- Friday, Dec 9 at 7pm - Professional chefs
- Saturday, Dec 10 at 7pm - youth chefs from local high school culinary programs battle it out
Iconic Sarasota landmarks recreated in Gingerbread.
Gingerbread House Contest - judges will name the top 3 winners in the elementary school, middle school and high school categories. Awards will be presented on Saturday, December 10 at 2pm with help from the Baltimore Orioles.
