This workshop is designed for intermediate students and will focus on creative and experimental techniques to develop texture and pattern in watercolor.  We will use sponges, saran wrap, stencils and various other devices to achieve unusual effects and to stimulate new ways of thinking in watercolor.  Wet-in-wet painting and negative glazing skills will be demonstrated and taught in the course of the workshop, as well as a good understanding of composition, color and mood.  Each new lesson will begin with a demonstration. The last afternoon will end with an individual critique. www.carolzbrody.com
