These two fabulous wineries are owned and managed by Claire Villars Lurton, one of Bordeaux royal wine families. Michael's On East has had a long relationship with both Chateau Haut-Bages-Liberal and Chateau Ferriere. This tantalizing menu has been customized to accentuate the intricate flavors and layers of each wine.

Chateau Haut-Bages-Liberal is Located in the Pauillac appellation in the Bordeaux region, Chateau Haut-Bages-Liberal is one of eighteen Cinquièmes Crus (Fifth Growths) of the 1855 Classification. Their vineyards border Chateau Latour and Chateau Pichon Longueville. Owned by Claire Villars Lurton at the age of 25 took over the family business managing both Chateaux Haut-Bages-Liberal and Ferriere. Vineyards varietals consist of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. The average ages of the vines are 30 years.
Chateau Ferriere is located in the Margaux appellation of Bordeaux. Ferriere is one of the smallest vineyards in the Grands Crus Classes of 1855 classification. The Terroir of Margaux is one of the richest areas in Bordeaux; the soil is comprised of deep gravel from the Gironde River on limestone marls. The size of the vineyard, combined with the beauty of its terroir make Chateau Ferriere wine a rare and highly valued.
