Gifts That Give Hope Alternative Gift Fair

On Saturday, December 3rd from 10 til 2, Gifts That Give Hope (www.giftsthatgivehope.org/ Sarasota) will sponsor Sarasota’s first Alternative Gift Fair, hosted by Whole Foods Market.

Whatever our particular faith, December marks for most of us a traditional time of giving. We seek out gifts for friends, loved ones, and co-workers hoping our gift is exactly what they wanted.  What if instead of a candle, bright scarf, or piece of shiny jewelry you could instead honor those on your gift list by: feeding a child for a month of weekends, shelter homeless kittens & puppies or save injured seabirds, provide meals for an elderly neighbor, diapers for a baby, work boots for a homeless veteran, life skills training for an at risk teen?  Wouldn’t you do that if you could? A Gifts That Give Hope Alternative Gift Fair makes that possible.

At a Gifts That Give Hope fair shoppers are provided a shopping list from which to choose meaningful  "virtual" gifts for people on their gift list. In return, they receive an attractive card with a description of their gift that can be presented to their friend or family member on that special day of giving.
