The Liszt Festival celebrates the 200th anniversary of the birth of composer and pianist, Franz Liszt. The music kicks off at the Church of the Redeemer Thursday, December 1st at 7:30 p.m. with organists, Anne Moe, and Michael Edward Stuart. It is followed by two unique concerts Sunday, December 4th and Tuesday, December 6th at 7:30 p.m. at the Historic Asolo Theater with Dmitri Vorobiev and Xiao-Feng Wu, along with mezzo-soprano, Catherine Martin. A special 'Wedding Fantasy' performance will be at St. Armands Key Lutheran Church, Monday, December 5th at 7:30 featuring Gloria Musicae, organist Michael Wittenburg , harpist Bonnie Caplan, Dmitri Vorobiev and Xiaofeng Wu. Together they explore the many facets of Liszt’s music which have charmed audiences for decades and influenced the direction of classical music since their creation!
